What is Herbalism?

/ˈ(h)ərbəˌlizəm/

noun

The dictionary definition: the study or practice of the medicinal and therapeutic use of plants, now especially as a form of alternative medicine. A plant or plant part or an extract or mixture of these used in herbal medicine

My personal definition / philosophy: herbal medicine has been the medicine of the people for so many centuries and throughout so many civilizations. It has seen many trends and more recently, a large resurgence in our country. To me, it remains a way to reclaim one’s health and vitality, to return to one’s own harmony and balance.

What does an Herbalist do?

(my definition): Great herbalists treat people not diseases. In my practice I individualize and tailor treatment to aid clients to not only resolve current symptoms but also create lasting foundational changes needed for overall wellness in body, mind, and spirit. Nutrition plays a big part in this foundation, so we will also dig into this area in our consultation.

What happens after requesting a TeleHerbalMedicine consultation?

You will hear from me within 24 hours. I’ll be emailing you forms to fill out for your initial consultation, along with further instructions. If you have recent lab work, that is very helpful to send as well. The first consultation is usually between 60 to 90 minutes and is $135.00 plus the cost of your formula + tea, if that is applicable. Follow-up appointments are $75.00 and scheduled for 30 to 60 minutes to access your progress. As your health and well being moves into balance, the follow-up appointments help to assess developments, and alter the formula as needed. Success depends on your participation during the consultation and the time between follow-up appointments.
